What is this two prong plug for? I see no reference to it in the instruciton sheet. KMS 18A esc:

That version of the esc was not smart enough to know if you were using 2 or 3 cells. If you leave it open like that, it has the cutoff for 3 cells. (9 v)
If you put the jumper on, then the cutoff is for 2 cells (6 v)
Newer version has this omitted. It has a newer chip that is smarter.
