I am getting the rest of my parts in this weekend and will start learning more about this XT2 that I picked up for $40. My concern is that I don't have a clue how to tune it and I don't know what it's previous owner already has done to it. Is there a default I can set it to for everything and does anyone know of a good video tutorial on how to tune the car? I learn by watching for the most part.

Also are there any suggestions you would give on what to do before running a used XT2? Perhaps some kind fo cleaning or lubricating or something?

Everything you asked and a ton more information in the manual. You can download a PDF version for free and print it out from here http://media.hobbypeople.net/manual/145625.pdf

Hope this helps.

well, there is a guy on youtube who has some video tutorials about the Xt2. Don't know if he has some tutorials about tuning but you can check yourself.
