GLOBAL FORUM POLICES
Here at the Global Forums, we like to maintain a friendly atmosphere where people from all backgrounds and interests can feel at home learning and posting about their hobbies. To this end, we have to do a limited amount of moderating when users violate the general ideals that, when respected, help make this place the great forum that it is. So here we have the general standards and guidelines that all members have to agree to abide by to be a participant in our community. First and foremost, all members need to be considerate and conscientious of the other members that use these forums. A violation in this regard may result in a permanent ban from the Global Forums.
ACCEPTABLE TOPICS:
This is a forum focused on Global products and accessories. We are proud of all the brands we distribute and are pleased to offer this forum as a place to find answers and for the discussion of our products. Please keep the topics focused. If you insist on posting political, social, religious, or other similar topics they’re gonna get deleted. Please don’t waste our time and your time going off topic.
INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE:
Use some common sense here, folks. If you’re gonna use inappropriate or offensive language, or if you’re gonna make a cute abbreviation of some inappropriate word, we’re probably not going to tolerate it, and it could result in you getting banned from the forums. It’s pretty simple. Really. Obvious violations: sexually oriented, vulgar, harassing, hateful, racial or defamatory language will probably get you banned. If you have to use obscenities, go start your own forum.
HARASSMENT:
This should be pretty self-explanatory by now. If you’ve gotten this far, you should realize that while we are a forum that is open to diverse ideas and opinions, we’re also a forum that is going to require civility from it’s members. This means no harassing or flaming of others, period. You’ll notice pretty quickly that this forum doesn’t operate with a heavy hand until it comes to harassment or flaming of other members. You will find yourself banned for this. No joke.
SPAMMING:
Don’t do this! It’s very annoying when you post your same topic in multiple forums. If you have a complementary or competing website or forum or you’re a retailer and you think it’d be a good idea to post up about how great your (site, product, forum, e-commerce shop) is, and you’ll link to it repeatedly on all the forums we provide, don’t. That’s not what this forum is about. Please respect that general idea and we’ll all be a lot better off.
BANNING:
Here’s where we reserve the right to ban your access to our forums. We provide these forums as a service to our customers, and at our sole discretion, we can ban you if we see fit to do so. As long as you play by the rules we’ll be happy to have you participate in our little on line community. If you violate any of the rules we may ban you. If we ban you and then you try to get all sneaky and register under another username, we’ll probably ban you again. Obviously, some violations are more serious than others and may only result in a terse message or a temporary ban. If we have to be stern more than once, you’re probably better off finding a new forum.
